Bernard Bermudez is Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager at Enterprise Bank & Trust and is responsible for increasing profitability, market penetration and wallet share of Commercial Banking customers by continually enhancing and growing the portfolio. He is committed to being a trusted financial advisor by delivering comprehensive financial solutions to commercial clients & nonprofits in the Las Vegas market.
Bernard has nearly 30 years of industry experience. Before joining Enterprise Bank in July 2021, Bernard served as a 1st Vice President, Relationship Manager for Pacific Premier Bank. Prior to that, Bernard served as a Relationship Manager & Downtown Sales Manager for Nevada State Bank for 6 years. He was also a Small Business Banker for Bank of America where he was responsible for deposit and credit acquisition of Small Business clients. He served the role for 2 years. Prior to Bank of America, Bernard was a Relationship Manager for Wells Fargo’s Business Banking Group where he was accountable for the delivery of a full range of products and services to business banking clients with annual revenues up to $20 million and total credit exposure up to $10 million. During his 6-year tenure with the firm, he also worked in business development, was selected by senior leaders to refine his leadership and diversity skills at national conferences, was elected President of Asian Connection Affinity Group and was highlighted in many videos and publications, like Wells Fargo’s 2009 annual report. Before moving to Las Vegas in 2004, Bernard was a Client Financial Analyst for Citigroup in San Francisco. Bernard first joined Bank of America in 1996 and held various positions in sales & acquisitions for 6 years prior to his former role with Citigroup.
Active in the business and political community, Bernard serves as the Board Chairman for Bridge Counseling Associates. He is a member of the Board of Directors for AAPI Chamber, YMCA of Southern Nevada, Board Advisor for CREED College Readiness Program (helps young people reach their educational goals and attend the college of their choice) and was presented the WICS Founders Award in Washington, DC for his commitment to financial literacy. Bernard serves on the steering committee for the annual Vegas Tech Summit, which is transforming Las Vegas into a true tech hub and is creating valuable jobs, high paid opportunities, and economic diversification. He was also honored with the Las Vegas Boys & Girls Club Man of the Year Award and Greatest Contribution Award for creating a teen mentor program. Bernard was a judge for Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards and has also judged for the Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week Awards. In addition, Bernard served as Board Treasurer of Transition Services (nonprofit that provides meaningful work for adults with developmental disabilities), U6 Head Coach of Team Roadrunners for the Rainbow Youth Soccer League and volunteers with his church and his children’s school.
Bernard competes in marathons & triathlons, enjoys hiking, was Team Captain for the Men’s 3.0 Spanish Trail tennis team and recently discovered CrossFit during the pandemic. A Silicon Valley native, Bernard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University. He and his wife Jaclyn have two daughters and reside in Las Vegas.
